Departure 4/30/2017

Crazy Sis/Bro-in laws waved signs of encouragement along the highway as I left Whidbey Is. 

From Whidbey Island to Paris to St. Jean Pied de Port, 3 days, 1 ferry, 2 planes,  1 train,  one coach bus. 

I’m ready to start my walk tomorrow morning.

   

Reports from peregrinos currently on the Camino:

“There were 1,100 compostelas (Camino completion certificates). issued yesterday. Normally, it is mid-May before the numbers go over 1,000.”

“Camino Frances is a 780km outdoor senior citizen center.”

Should be interesting.
