“Fred” adopts Fran (and the rest of the clan at 3020 Bearberry Lane)
Yesterday afternoon a 1 year old reddish-orange tabby adopted our household. We nicknamed him “Fred” as a conjunction of “Fran”, our 84 year old matriarch, and “Red”, his original name at the Whidbey Animal Improvement Foundation (WAIF) where he last resided.
Upon arrival, Fred didn’t waste time hiding in his carry home box. He quickly sized up the territory, and established his domination of all other inhabitants. To Fred, our 4 level geodesic dome is a giant habitrail with servants. I for one, welcome our new feline overlord.
He looks just like my Nugget when I was little. We got him and Billie’s cat Stein from right down the road from Nana’s!
